Spring is almost here, which means that the grass court season is almost upon us. Don’t miss out on your spot at the annual All Court Tennis Club grand slam tournament on grass.
This year, we are heading back to one of our favourite venues for our weekend of friendly competition. Join us in the grounds of the stunningly beautiful Grade 1 listed Stuart/Jacobean Mansion, Moor Park. Situated close to Rickmansworth, the 17th Century home of James, Duke of Monmouth has always been a destination for Dukes, Lords and even Kings – so you will be in very good company!
So what’s included?
Tennis Courts, Masterclass, Tournament: We have 4 pristine grass courts at our disposal, across two days, for your playing pleasure. You will be guided by an expert, seasoned Racquets Director who will make sure that all players are competing in challenging matches in an exciting format. Plus your warm up will be a Doubles Masterclass with the pros.
Format: We curate teams of 4–6 players, playing in a predominantly doubles format. Women and men are both welcome so that we can format some mixed doubles as well. For those with stamina, we will throw in championship tie-break singles.
Rest assured there will be enough tennis for all. It’s our job to ensure that each team has the right number, mix of players and skill levels for an entertaining and challenging 2 days of tennis.
Nourishment: The ticket will include tennis refreshments, lunch on both days at Moor Park Country Club and a delicious dinner at The Grove.
Rooms: For those looking to make the most of the English countryside, we have partnered with five-star countryside retreat, The Grove. This luxury hotel is famous for its award-winning spa, championship golf course, two artificial all-weather tennis courts, outdoor pool, urban beach, adventure playground, kid’s clubs and several restaurants and bars. Located just 15 minutes from Moor Park Club, it is the perfect place to stay whilst attending the Chairman’s Grass Tournament. We have secured a fantastic rate of £420/night, which is valid when we reserve a minimum number of bedrooms. So please let us know if you are interested in staying and we will do our best to secure this rate for you.
How will it work?
Morning – Join us for a specialist masterclass, to ensure you are firing on all cylinders come match time. Hone your skills, and learn from the best when it comes to winning at doubles!
Afternoon – You will have a chance to familiarise yourself with your new team mates over lunch, and strategise as we head into session 1 of the Chairman’s Grass court Championships for our first series of matches.
Evening – Whether you are staying at The Grove, or elsewhere, you are invited to join us at The Grove for dinner in their lavish, and often theatrical, Glasshouse Restaurant, where we have reserved a semi-private area.
Our final day’s play will see each team playing off for pride and place, to see who will be crowned The Chairman’s Champion 2022. Then join us off the court for lunch and refreshments on the terrace, to see out our 2022 Chairman’s Grass Court Championships.
We have created a package for the weekend (excluding accommodation) and we also have a package available for plus 1’s, so please let us know if you will be bringing someone along with you!
