Tennis Ladder Description
Our little league meets at Angleton High School each Monday at 6 p.m. (weather permitting). Players will be assigned matches for those nights and can also pick up matches informally throughout the season. And, at the end of our 12 exciting weeks, we'll give gift cards to the top three point getters. (See Ranking & Points and Prizes for details on all that.)

A few important notes:

* Matches do not necessarily have to be played only on Mondays. Many players in the league have crazy work schedules (and other commitments) that will keep them away from the courts some (or even many) Mondays. We ask that league members be willing to, at least occasionally, schedule matches at other times so those folks don't have to sit out entirely on their non-Monday weeks.

To help assure a smooth flow for the league, a coordinator will reach out to all players via email by Thursday of each week asking for all who are planning to play on Monday to please send an RSVP before Sunday at noon. Sunday evening, then, a coordinator will respond to all who are planning to attend with a list of match-ups. (For maximum fun, we recommend that all players plan on playing two matches, so after first matches have been played, everyone can switch partners -- or perhaps pair up with a late comer who missed the first round -- and play a second round.)

* All matches will be a relatively short 8-game pro-set format (regular scoring, and a seven point tie breaker at 7-all) intended to encourage everyone to play a LOT of matches in these 12 weeks. Ideally, all players will find it easy to play at least two matches each Monday if they so desire (by, perhaps, having one match scheduled in advance and then picking up an informal match among the other league members after that one.)

Global Tennis Network does not give us unlimited space to type up the rules and such here, so we have to go now. If you want to know more, just contact our main coordinator Don Cudd at 361-877-6484 or just explore this section of the site.
