Tennis Ladder Description
This is a 10-week ladder for mixed doubles players with a combined rank up to 7.0.

Before you play your first match, please pay the $10 ladder fee. Venmo @swmotennis OR pay by e-check or credit card here: https://swmo-tennis-network.cheddarup.com.

Important info:
(1) Players/teams get one match per week. It is the players' responsibility to contact their match opponent(s) and schedule the date, time, and location of the match.
(2) Home player/team is responsible for providing an unopened can of balls for the match.
(3) Winners are responsible for recording match scores.
(4) Matches should be played the week they are scheduled. Any exceptions must be agreed upon by both players/teams.
(5) Players/teams who cancel a match within two hours of an agreed upon match time must forfeit the match (and will incur a forfeit penalty).
(6) Ladder winners will be determined based on number of matches played and total points earned.
(7) Cash prizes will be awarded to ladder winners as follows: 1st place = 3 x ladder fee; 2nd place = 2 x ladder fee; 3rd place = ladder fee. Cash prizes may be reduced depending on the number of teams in the ladder.

Tennis Ladder Rules
1. The ladder is located in:
Country: United States
State: Missouri
City: Springfield

2. The ladder is open to the following players:
Playing Level: 3.00 to 3.99
Match Format: Doubles
Gender: All

3. This ladder will begin January 01, 2023 and end March 31, 2023.

4. Teams will not be penalized for not playing matches.

5. Forfeits will be treated like a lost match, and will affect rankings and points.

6. Any of the following match formats can be used:

Best of 3 Sets with 3rd Set Tiebreak: Best of 3 sets is first to win 2 sets. Each set is first to win 6 or more games with a margin of 2 games. A tie-breaker is played if each team has won 6 games. The third set tiebreak can be played to any number of points as long as the winner wins more points than the loser.

Example scores: 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 or 6-3, 7-6


7. The following system will be used to compute a player's position on the ladder.

Custom Points: This system allows you to determine how many points are awarded for playing a match, winning a match, set, or even a game. You can also deduct points for a loss or award more points for winning in straight sets or a higher ranked team.

Points for winning a match: 2
Points for winning a set: 1
Points for winning a game: 1
Points for winning in straight sets: 1
Points for winning by forfeit: 12
Points for losing by forfeit: -2
8. After the match, the winner will submit the score.

9. All ladder members should maintain current contact information. If you change phone numbers or e-mail addresses, you must update your profile so other member can contact you and you will receive email notifications.
