Niagara Region Team Tennis at Club White Oaks - Winter 2020 * White Oaks Team Tennis is for both men and women at playing levels between 3.0-4.5. * League matches will be held mostly Sunday afternoons except couple o rare Saturdays. * The League fixture is now approved by WO Tennis Office. * White Oaks Tennis staff has secured sponsors to cover the costs of the Wine and Cheese Party *Sponsors for Team Trophy + Award. On-board now ------------------------ Important Dates: ----------------------- - Sunday Jan 5, 2020 - League Starts Wine & Cheese Social party - 4:00pm - Sunday, March 22, 2020 - Finals – League Ends – Team Trophy Presentations -------------------------------------------------------- Players who are on board now can pay at the front desk of White Oaks starting Dec 15th. All payments are due before Jan 1, 2020 to secure player's spot on Team Roster. For more details, inquiries or for any schedule updates, please send email to Julianne Smith jsmith@whiteoaksresort.com or to Tan Qureshi tan@computan.com . ----------------------------------------- Team Tennis League Structure:- Proposed:- SIX team Format - Pending Signups – Blue – Green – Red – Yellow – Orange – Silver Levels:- - 3.0-4.5 - Open to both Men and Women (Co-Ed) Lines:- Each team competing at Three lines Court 1- Combined Level 9.0 Court 2- Combined Level 8.0 Court 3- Combined Level 7.0 For each team playing every week (eg: Week 1: Team 1 (Line 1, Line 2, Line 3) vs Team 2 (Line 1, Line 2, Line 3)....Team 3 (Line 1, Line 2, Line 3) vs Team 4 (Line 1, Line 2, Line 3)...Team 5 (Line 1, Line 2, Line 3) vs Team 6 (Line 1, Line 2, Line 3) there will be 9 doubles matches taking place each week. Each Team will play round robin TWICE versus other teams over the entire 10 weeks duration of the initial rounds in the league. 1. The league is located in, and around: Country: Canada 2. The league is open to the following players:State: Ontario City: Niagara-on-the-Lake Playing Level: 3.00 to 4.50 Gender: All 3. There is no entry fee. 4. This league will begin 2020-01-05 and end 2020-03-22. 5. Any of the following match formats can be used: Best of 3 Sets with 3rd Set Tiebreak: Best of 3 sets is first to win 2 sets. Each set is first to win 6 or more games with a margin of 2 games. A tie-breaker is played if each team has won 6 games. The third set tiebreak can be played to any number of points as long as the winner wins more points than the loser. 6. The following system will be used to compute points earned per match.Example scores: 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 or 6-3, 7-6 Custom Points: This system allows you to determine how many points are awarded for playing a match, winning a match, set, or even a game. 7. In the event of a tie, the team with the least game losses, will be the declared the winner by receiving an additional 1 point.Points for winning a match: 1 Points for winning a set: 1 |
