Tennis Tournament Description
(Updated on 07/09/2018): Seeding is done accordingly, but placement is computer randomized. Last date to register for the 2018 AENJC is July 31st. Participants must be active paid members of the network, and all outstanding debts to the network paid beforehand.

Important Updates: The All England New Jersey Championships is open to all levels of 3.0-5.0 players.

The biggest tournament of the 2018 hosted by Hudson County New Jersey Tennis, Inc, Super Amazing Tennis, Gateway 2 Science Organization, Modell's Sporting Goods (North Bergen, NJ), City of Union City, and the United States Tennis Association (Eastern Division).

Welcome to 2018 All England New Jersey Championships. This year marks the 9th Edition of the tournament.

Inviting all players of 3.0 to 5.0 Ratings to play. If you are unsure of your level, please check with a local pro shop to get yourself evaluated or visit National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York. We follow the NTRP Rating System, http://www.usta.com/Adult-Tennis/USTA-League/Information/About_NTRP/.

The draw is computer randomized and seeds are picked by participation in ladders, tournaments, and overall ratings by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Please keep in mind that a self rating doesn't guarantee a top seed. Many things are considered when determination of seeded players for the draw is made.

The official draw release is August 1st. There can be a live hand selection made from Washington Park but usually the seeding is computer randomized and selection is done by Global Tennis Network's system. Most of the bracket is computer generated, and players are organized depending on skill factor.

Note: Please do not register if you are above a 5.0 as it will be unfair to other players. Also, if you are a beginner player, below a 3.0, you are not qualified to play at this tournament. Please check the network for upcoming tournaments of your level.

Since this is a 64 draw bracket, it makes this tournament very competitive and strict so when reporting scores, make sure they are as accurate as possible to avoid any problems among all players.

This is the Premier Tennis Tournament (Hudson County version of the Grand Slam) for the Summer Season 2018 for members of the Hudson County New Jersey Tennis Inc. There is a $30 network fee Payable via PayPal to djacome.student@saintpeters.edu

**You must be a member of the network and pay all fees beforehand. Any outstanding debt owed to the network must also be paid.
**Once the draw is released, you cannot withdraw from the tournament. Forfeits are recorded as 6-0, 6-0. No forfeits are entered through the system. Please make sure to commit yourself to playing the tournament.

Notice there is only a main draw. So, if you lose the first round, the tournament is over for you. This is different from the previous AENJC tournaments where they hosted a loser's bracket.
A special permit will be obtained for tournament matches at Washington park under the lights. To take advantage, scheduling must be reported at all times so court space can be reserved. Park Administrators will post a sign for reserved court hours. After these times, it will be on first come basis and depending on availability of courts.
Please keep in mind that on weekends the demand for court time is high, especially at 7:00AM - 10:00AM on Saturdays, and Sundays at Washington Park due to Summer. Also, during weekdays, the courts are in high demand during the 6:30PM - 9:00PM time frame. Players should be mindful of availability and court rotation during peak hours, as park supervisors make sure everyone has court time available for tennis enjoyment. The rule at Washington Park is one hour of play for all tennis enthusiasts.

The Tournament Director is looking to make a loser's bracket once this tournament concludes. Players will be asked if they wish to participate. The tournament will conclude at the end of 2018 U.S. Open tournament. No prizes have been determined for this separate tournament.

Players pick from the following times for the main draw:
First Round: by August 12th
Second Round: by August 19th
Third Round: by August 26th
Quarterfinals: by September 2nd
Semifinals: by September 5th
Finals: Sunday, September 9th

Dates subject to changes depending on weather, and extension for player accommodations. Please be mindful of players schedule and location, remember the tournament's main venue is Washington Park in Union City, NJ.

Trophy Presentation: At the conclusion of Final, the tournament director and sponsors will present trophies to Champion and Runner-up; Prizes will be awarded to the champion. As is tradition, the Champion is usually awarded with Quarterfinals tickets to the 2019 U.S. Open (the following year)

* Match play needs to follow the schedule to avoid forfeits. If opponent doesn't respond in three attempts, they automatically forfeit the match.

To schedule a match against your opponent, you can either call them, message them, or inform the Network Director:

The person's name is Mr. David Jacome, cell number is 201-388-5435. He can arrange a proper time for both of you and make any necessary accommodations during the tournament dates. At times, the director will email players to remind them to play there matches. Only the director can submit a forfeit on behalf of a player not being able to play due to an injury or emergency.
