How Natural Gut Tennis String is Made


Have you ever wondered what natural gut tennis string is made of. Or how it is made? 

Natural gut tennis string really do come from gut. In fact, the source of natural gut tennis string comes from part of the intestine of a cow called serosa.

Natural gut tennis strings have actually been around for a long time. The first set of natural gut tennis string was created by Pierre Babolat in 1875.

The process of creating the string is pretty complicated. The time consuming, and intense process explains why natural gut strings are so expensive.
