Tennis Ladder Description
We are excited to announce another program for all our members to participate and enjoy. Monday October 5th will be the starting date of our women’s and men’s Tennis ladder. All levels of play are welcome. You can sign up and join in at anytime during the year. You will be entered and placed by our Ladder Commissioner (christophe) in the appropriate position. Just pick a partner and let the fun competition begin.
We are trying to create an active ladder.

Ladder rules.
All matches will be 2 out 3 sets using the regular scoring.
You can only Challenge 2 position above your current ranking.
If you win you will swap positions with the team you just challenged
If you win your challenge match you now must be available/open to be challenged for the next 7days.
If you lose you can challenge a new opponent immediately
If you lose you cannot challenge the same opponent back to back.
If you cannot respond to challenge within 7 days you will loose and trade positions with your opponents.
If you cannot respond to a challenge more than 3 times you will be dropped off the ladder.
Each team must bring a new can of balls. The winning team keeps the can of balls for their next match.

Tennis Ladder Rules
1. The ladder is located in:
Country: United States
State: Florida
City: Vero Beach

2. The ladder is open to the following players:
Playing Level: 2.00 to 6.00
Match Format: Doubles
Gender: Male

3. This ladder is free to join.

4. This ladder will begin September 10, 2020 and end October 10, 2021.

5. Teams have 7 days to accept or decline a challenge before it is automatically declined.

6. Teams will not be penalized for declining challenges.

7. Teams have 14 days to play an accepted challenge before it expires and the following occurs:
The challenged team automatically declines the challenge.

8. Teams will not be penalized for not playing matches.

9. Forfeits will not be treated like a lost match, and will have no affect on rankings or points.

10. Any of the following match formats can be used:

Anything Goes: Players decide what type of match they would like to play.

Example scores: 5-3, 8-2 or 21-20, 21-18

11. The following system will be used to compute a player's position on the ladder.

Leap Frog: This is the most basic and simplest ranking system. When a lower ranked player beats a higher ranked player, the lower ranked player "leap frogs" over the higher ranked player, pushing them and each player initially between them down one spot. If the higher ranked player wins, nothing happens.

12. After the match, the winner will submit the score.

13. All ladder members should maintain current contact information. If you change phone numbers or e-mail addresses, you must update your profile so other member can contact you and you will receive email notifications.
