Tennis Ladder Description
Matches played anywhere in southern Utah between Dec 2022 and 31 Dec 2023.
Results can be based on single set matches (pro-set or normal set). Match results based on best 2 out of 3 sets or 3 out of 5 sets. Partial set result is allowed is the 5 total games have been completed and trailing players cannot continue for any reason. Leading player cannot record result of partial set if they cannot continue match for any reason. If either or both players must quit after splitting sets, individual set results will be posted for the winner of each.

Any match result. Or any set result with minimum of 4 games played. Tiebrks can be used to determine the winner of any match or set result.

Anything Goes: This will allow any score to be submitted without any validation. Not always recommended.

Elo Rating: This system is the best system for ranking teams by their ability. Each team will start with 1500 points, which will increase as they win and decrease as they lose. The amount of points gained or lost from a match is dependent on the points of the opponent played. For example, if a 2000 point team beats a 1000 point team, very little change will occur to either teams rating. However, if a 2000 point team loses to a 1000 point team, both teams ratings will change drastically. Teams points will also change more drastically during the first games that are recorded.
