Phora/AMA "Challenger League" Tennis Ladder is a tennis ladder in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Phora/AMA "Challenger League" (formerly "B-League") Ladder for intermediate level players.
Basic information:
A... tennis ladder is a challenge-based system in which players issue a challenge to another eligible player on the ladder in order to attempt to move ahead of them in the rankings.
If the player lower on the ladder wins, s/he takes the spot of the losing player, and the losing player consequently moves down one position. If the lower ranked player loses, both players remain in the same positions. For example, if the #7 player challenges the #3 player and wins, the formerly #7 player becomes #3 and the formerly #3 becomes #4. If the #3 ranked player wins, s/he remains #3 and the challenger remains #7.
Ladder format: All players are asked to self-identify as A bracket (experienced players) or B bracket (beginner/intermediate). Men and women will play on the same ladder. A ladder season will last five months. Players may join the ladder at any time.
Winners: highest ranked player of each bracket, most matches won, and most matches played.
