About: This is a doubles ladder for tennis enthusiasts... in the Howard County Md. vicinity.
Players should be around the 2.5 -3.5 rating level; however, this is just a guide.
Players do not need a rating in order to participate. You do not need to be a member of USTA to play on this ladder.
Ages can vary between 16-99 years of age. Teams can consist of all male, all female, or mixed in whatever fashion.
i.e. There can be 1 female and 3 males, or 3 males and 1 female, etc.
Players can swap partners if they so choose.
The only requirement, in order to record scores, is that all 4 players are registered on the ladder.
Players need to be registered in order to submit scores and communicate with other players via the website.

Fee: This is a free ladder.
Match Format: This ladder is very flexible to give all players the chance to play to their ability.
Players can choose to play the best of three sets 6-2, 6-4, 6-1, a pro set of 8 or 10 games, or even choose to play just 1 game.
It can be ad or no-add scoring. All players should agree on the format and any tiebreak procedures, if needed, before they play.
Points and Ranking: Ranking on this ladder is based on total number of points won. Players receive 1 point for each game won.
i.e. Team A plays Team B. Team A beats Team B in an 8 game pro set, 8-4. This scenario has each player on Team A
receiving 8 points and each player on Team B receiving 4 points.
Second Scenario- Team C plays Team A. Team C wins 7-6, 6-7, 1-0. In this case each player on Team C would get 14 points and
Each player on Team A would receive 13 points.
Any registered player can submit scores.
Challenges: Since this is a “Custom Point” ladder, challenges using the online system are not allowed. Players need to contact
the other players by email, text, or phone to schedule a match.
