SD Singles is a tennis league in San Diego, California.
**What is a Tennis Ladder?**
A tennis ladder is a system for ranking a group of players such as a tennis league. It... is also a great way to meet new players and have a lot of fun. In a tennis ladder, players are arranged like rungs of a ladder. Players challenge one another to a match. As a player wins or loses, the player moves up or down in position on the ladder. The goal of the tennis ladder is to be at the top!
*PLEASE SIGNUP ASAP for HIGHER priority ranking!
Note: this is just a starting point. Later signups will go to the bottom of the ladder, but will be able to work themself up.)

State your NTRP skill rating:
1. YOU can challenge a player above you to improve your rankings! Challenge as many times as you want.
Players are responsible for challenging on the Ladder website, arranging court location, date, or meetup each week to play at. *Both players bring a New can of tennis balls to the match. Winner keeps the unopened can.
2. Each player should schedule at least 6 to 20 matches during the season which lasts 12 weeks or more.
3. You can't play the same player within the last few matches for variety, but you can play them often.
4. Give the benefit of the doubt to your opponents on LINE calls. Only call the lines on your side of the net, but be FAIR. *If its not CLEARLY out, then its IN!
5. Matches. Play and win 2 out of 3 sets. Play 6 game set (win by 2) or First to 4 games with Ads.
Whichever you BOTH AGREE ON.
6. After the Match. The Winner of the match notifies the Ladder Admin to record the score.
7. Go challenge another player and improve your skills and rankings!
FORFEITS/CANCELLATIONS:
Please try to keep your match commitments out of respect to other players. *You have two weeks after accepting a challenge to play, otherwise you could forfeit the match and lose some points in ranking. Declining a challenge from someone you've played before can be considered hindering the competition and cost you points.
Your opponent can record a forfeit if you:
1. Don't show up for the match.
2. Don't call to let them know you're late.
3. Don't give at least 2 hours notice to cancel a match.
4. Don't finish the match.
