7wWhat’s up with the PTPA tournament listings? When I look right now it shows “Fourth of July Classic” for July 24-26 🤔. Should be showing the Newport News Doubles, right?

7wThere a best method in here to setup casual hits? If I end up with some time on my hands I often end up heading to Huntington with a ball machine, but it would be nice to be able to ping the group for a casual hit or play a set.

47wTo those running the PTPA here is a SUGGESTION -- make the Grand Prix season finale a season long race. This is only possible when the results/points totals are public so we can see who is leading, who is in the top 8, top 20, etc. When this is a season long race it encourages competitors to play more events to qualify.
When the website changed there was a big learning curve. The old website featured the Grand Prix and all my close tennis friends would talk about the results from years past. We'd enter tournaments in hopes of making the Grand Prix and winning the BIG event, like a Masters tournament.
As it is now the Grand Prix is a mystery who is playing and when it is invitational it feels weird. For instance, I made a semifinals and finals in two separate tournaments and have no idea where I stand in points total.
Please, post the points total after each tournament. Update it after every tournament.
I think this change would encourage more participation and grow the PTPA and its various divisions.
Thanks for your consideration.

1yHi!
Are there any good tennis hitting walls in Smithfield?
Thanks!

1yI am new to this website and don’t know how to reach out to the tournament director. But I am looking to pull out of the NTA tournament on Aug. 15th. If I pull out though do I get a refund on the entry fee?

1yI accidentally signed up under the singles category for the 4th of July classic, but I only meant to sign up for doubles. Is there any way I can withdraw from the singles category?
