Hey, I’m Ashwin! I’m an RSPA Level 1 Certified Tennis Instructor and 4.0 NTRP player with 20 years of playing experience. I work primarily with adult beginners and intermediate players who want to build confidence, improve consistency, and feel more comfortable playing recreational matches. My coaching approach combines clear, actionable instruction with high-repetition drills and game-based practice, helping you understand not just how to hit the ball, but how to use your skills on the court. Whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time or working to improve your groundstrokes, serve, footwork, or shot selection, I’ll tailor each lesson to your goals and current level! Want to learn with a spouse, friend, or hitting partner? Group lessons accommodate up to four participants, giving you an opportunity to practice realistic rally situations while splitting the cost. Tennis should be fun, not intimidating. I help beginners and recreational players build solid fundamentals, confidence, and consistency in a relaxed, encouraging environment. We’ll work on the things that make the biggest difference such as footwork, positioning, contact point, technique, and consistency; using simple drills and fun games rather than overwhelming you with technical jargon. My goal is simple: help you feel more comfortable on the court, enjoy playing, and see progress every lesson. No pressure. No judgment. Just good tennis and a lot of hitting!

With 25 years of teaching experience across tennis hotspots in the RDU area as well as Southern California and Miami, I bring a wealth of expertise to the court as a USPTA Certified Professional instructor. My teaching philosophy is inclusive, catering to all ages, levels, and playing styles - from beginners and intermediates to advanced and high-performance players, I offer comprehensive instruction to rapidly improve your game. I take pride in my reputation, with a teaching schedule often filled through word-of-mouth referrals. Safety is paramount, and I adhere to strict health guidelines during lessons.
