Fast4 Tennis: The Fun & Fast Way to Play Tennis

Nowadays tennis is becoming increasingly more difficult to fit into our busy schedules. Matches, and especially multi-day tournaments, simply take too long to complete. But, don't despair because there is a solution to this problem and it's called Fast4 Tennis. Fast4 Tennis is a shortened format of tennis that was launched globally in Sydney by Roger Federer and Lleyton Hewitt (see the full match embedded below). It is a fun way to shake things up, increase interest in the game, and make match play more exciting. See the information sheet to learn the rules and regulations.

After their Fast4 match, Lleyton Hewitt told reporters, "It's about getting more people playing the game. It's not just the juniors, it's social tennis as well. Getting people talking about tennis is a big thing: to try and pump up tennis in Australia." Get out on the court tennis fans, give this a whirl and let us know what you think about the Fast4 format.

Highlights of Fast4 Tennis include:

  • Play lets
  • No-ad scoring
  • Tiebreaker at 3 games all
  • 4 game set
  • "Power Play"

Check out this video of Roger Federer and Lleyton Hewitt playing a Fast4 Tennis match.
